What can 35 years of experience do for you? It started in 1978 in Jacksonville, Florida when a then 15 year old artist Brett Warren walked into a Do It Yourself Frameshop to frame several pieces of his own art.
After completing the framing with the help of the employees and really enjoying the experience, he then inquired about a part time job at Mr. Frame It and was given one building frames in his parents garage after school.
From there he was soon given a position in the shop framing and assisting customers. In 1982 at the age of 19, he ended up buying the business, building and running it for 8 years until selling it in 1991.
After attending a Jewelers School and working for a jeweler full time for 3 years, he then opened and ran another framing department for a retail Designer/Decorator for several more years.
The itch to own a shop again got the best of him along with a totally open market on Anastasia Island in St. Augustine, so he opened Island Framers & Gallery in December 2006 in the Sandpiper Plaza in St. Augustine Beach.
Since then much competition has come and gone but Island Framers & Gallery still survives and thrives.

Santa Needlework by one of our many talented customers and framed by the boys at Island Framers & Gallery. We stretched this beaded needlework on archival foamcore with nickel plated straight pins, matted it in a red linen mat with a gold filet, capped it in a gold frame to match, then glazed it with an almost invisible, UV blocker art glass.
